ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team is back in action on Saturday when the Bulldogs host North Carolina Central at the Asheville Racquet Club downtown starting at 11 a.m.

Asheville (6-4) is trying to shake off a tough 4-3 Big South Conference loss to Liberty on Thursday. The Bulldogs won the doubles point but lost two singles matches in three sets allowing the Flames to escape with the victory.

Asheville will have its hands full in this non-conference match against the Eagles. North Carolina Central is 7-3 on the season and defeated the Bulldogs last year in Durham, 5-2.

The Blue & White are being led by three players with 7-3 singles record this season. Sophomor Amryn Soldier and freshmen Ericka Rivero and Gillian Lewis are doing a nice job for Asheville. The Bulldogs only won six matches all of last year and already have six wins in 2013 with the season not even at its halfway point.
