ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Time is running out to sign up to play in the 2014 Bulldog Athletic Association Golf Classic presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina on Monday, August 25th and Tuesday, August 26th at the Country Club of Asheville.

The two-day tournament raises money for the UNC Asheville student-athlete scholarship fund.

There’s still time to sign up to play but spots are filling up fast for the tournament. There are still a few spots open each day for both individual and a team. A round of golf for one day for one person is $500 with a team of four players costing $2000.

Bruce and Carol Peterson are serving as honorary chairs of this year’s classic.

Registration includes green and cart fees with lunch, beer and beverages provided. Prizes include two winners in each flight, two hole-in-one contests, four closest to the holes contests and two straightest drive contests.

There will be an “Awards and After Party" held after each day of golf in the Donald Ross Pub at the CCA.

If you want to help in other ways financially, you can sponsor a hole for $1200 or be a tee sponsor for $300.  Also, volunteers are needed each day to help run the tournament.
