ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Bulldog Athletic Association Golf  Classicis a month away and there are some openings to play on Monday, August 26th.


The Bulldog Athletic Association Golf Classic will be held August 26th and 27th, 2013 at the Country Club of Asheville.  The 2013 Classic is presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, and is being held to honor of former men's basketball coach Eddie Biedenbach for his 17 years of service to UNC Asheville and the community.


The annual tournament benefits scholarships for UNC Asheville’s student-athletes. Last year’s tournament raised more than $80,000.


Celebrities scheduled to play include Rick Barnes, Bobby Cremins, Billy Packer, Larry Conley, Monte Towe, Woody Durham and Pete McDaniel.


Monday, August 26th, Alumni Day Tournament


Monday’s tournament is a day of fun with former Bulldogs.  Many celebrities play Monday, as well.  There are two price options for Alumni and a number of options for others:




$250-Includes Monday's golf for one, two tickets to the Roast & Toast Honoring Eddie Biedenbach proudly sponsored by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians/Harrah's on Monday night at Kimmel Arena starting at 6 p.m.


Pricing options are as follows for Monday's Golf Only, Non-Alumni:


Tee Sponsor (tee signage up both days) & Team of 4 Players-$2,250 ($1,650 tax-deductible)


Team of 4 Players-$2,000 ($1,400 tax-deductible)


Tee Sponsor & One Player-$800 ($650 tax-deductible)


Golf for One Player-$500 ($350 tax-deductible)


**Each paid registration receives two tickets to Monday evening's Roast & Toast Honoring Eddie Biedenbach proudly sponsored by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians/Harrah's.
