GREENSBORO, N.C. - UNC Asheville junior sprinter Natalie Pearson finished 32nd in the 100 meters in pre-qualifying at the NCAA Regional Track & Field Meet Thursday evening at Irwin Belk Track Complex.
Pearson finished with a time of 11.71 in the race and did not qualify for the finals on Saturday. She will compete in her best race, the 200 meters, Friday night at 8 p.m.
"Natalie ran a good race against some incredible competition," stated Bulldog coach Jesse Norman. "Today's race will help Natalie prepare for tomorrow's 200 meters."
Also competing tomorrow will be junior Simon Haake in the javelin. He is scheduled to compete in the preliminary round starting at 10 a.m.
