Today Natalie Pearson and I boarded a plane to go to Eugene, Ore. for the national meet. The plane ride from Asheville was your typical ride. I can't seem to sleep on plane rides yet Natalie was able to snooze away beside me...must be from her trips from across the pond. Anyways after getting to the airport and getting our rental car we made the two plus hour drive down to Eugene.
Once we got here we started to take care of all the little things to get situated. After getting changed at the hotel we made our commute to quite possibly the most historic track facility in the United States, Hayward Field. The facility was incredible! I can't wait for the action to get started tomorrow, I just hope the rain stays away!
After practice and picking up the gear the NCAA gave us we made our way to dinner at Beppe & Gianni's, an Italian restaurant here in town. The food and people were incredible! Well after a long day I'm heading to bed to get some much needed rest for the reminder of the week. If anyone is interested the meet will be streamed on NCAA.com.
