ROCK HILL, S.C. - UNC Asheville junior Sarah Gentry took first place in the 800 meters at the Winthrop Twilight Meet Sunday afternoon.
Gentry captured the 800 meters with a time of 2:12.56.
Other highlights on the day included Ashlei Clodfelter took second in the javelin with a toss of 38.43 meters.
Meredith Foster had a third-place finish in the high jump with a leap of 1.60 meters. Corey McClintock took fourth in the hammer throw at 43.27 meters.
On the men's side, Kurt Hibert registered the fourth longest throw ever in the discus in school history. His throw of 45.61 meters allowed him to finish in third place on Sunday.
