FRISCO, Texas - Former UNC Asheville standout Matt Dickey was signed this past weekend by the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League and made his debut.


The 2012 Big South Conference Player of the Year played twice this weekend against the Austin Toros. He scored nine points in 20 minutes of action on Saturday as the Legends fell to Austin, 99-92. Dickey had three steals and a rebound.


The teams played the next night in Austin with Dickey playing 24 minutes as he scored four points, three assists with one rebound.


The Legends are affiliated with the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA. Texas plays again this Friday against the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 8 p.m. EST.
