FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - UNC Asheville junior sprinter Milan Ristic will be one of 16 sprinters competing for a national championship in the 60-meter hurdles tonight at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships that are being held at the Randall Tyson Track Center on the campus of the University of Arkansas.

Ristic will compete in the preliminaries starting at 7:15 p.m. EST. He will be one of eight sprinters in Heat #1.  There will be two heats of eight runners. The top two from each heat advance to Saturday's finals along with the four best times.

Ristic will be the 14th seed in the event as his top time this season was a school-record 7.75 seconds. He has won the last two Big South Conference Indoor championships in the hurdles and won the outdoor title last spring. Ristic also qualified last spring for the NCAA Regional championship last year, just missing a spot at the national meet.

"Milan is ready to go," commented Bulldog coach Joel Williams. "He's in a tough heat but there aren't to be any easy heats at the national meet."
