RALEIGH, N.C. – The UNC Asheville track and field teams will be participating in the Raleigh Relays this weekend.

Head Coach Jesse Norman is anxious to see how both of his teams perform in this prestigious meet.

“This is going to be a great test for us,” commented Norman. “We’re going to be going against some of the top teams and athletes in the country this weekend in Raleigh. We’ll see where we’re at this point of the season.”

Asheville competed last weekend at Western Carolina and both teams came in fourth place at the meet.

“We had some good results at Western Carolina as we changed things up a little bit prior to this week’s meet in Raleigh,” said Norman.

John Bellard, Meredith Foster and Milan Ristic both finished in first place to highlight Asheville’s performance at WCU.

Bellard won his first ever javelin collegiate completion by coming in first place with a throw of 52.01 meters.
