ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men’s soccer team will play a non-conference game on Tuesday afternoon at Greenwood Field when the Bulldogs host Wisconsin-Green Bay starting at 3 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.

Asheville (3-5-0) looks to snap a two-game losing streak on Tuesday afternoon against a tough Phoenix squad. Wisconsin-Green Bay is 4-2-2 on the season and has not played since a 2-1 victory over New Jersey Institute of Technology on Sept. 21.
Wisconsin-Green Bay will be a great test for our guys. They are off to a decent start, and have scored a good number of goals,” stated Bulldog coach Matt Kern. “It is nice to have some out of region competition, and we will look to improve upon our performance from Saturday.”
The Bulldogs are coming off a tough 1-0 loss to Big South foe Liberty on Saturday afternoon. The Flames scored their only goal off a direct kick in the 73th minute to pick up the victory.
Wisconsin-Green Bay is a member of the Horizon League and owns a win over DePaul and tied #12 Marqutte 3-3 earlier this season.
Asheville is on the road Saturday against Big South foe Longwood before returning home to start a three-game homestand against league foes Presbyterian College (Oct. 9), High Point (Oct. 12) and Campbell (Oct. 19).
Senior forward Kenny Lingerfelt leads the Bulldogs in scoring with two goals and five points. He has taken a team-high 19 shots.
