RADFORD, Va. – The UNC Asheville women’s swim team is on the road this weekend for the Highlander Invitational that will be held at Radford University starting tomorrow and running through Saturday.
The Bulldogs have not swum since a thrilling 135-125 dual meet win over Radford at Justice Center Pool on Nov. 8.
Head Coach Elizabeth Lykins is looking forward to this weekend’s action.
“We are looking forward to fast swimming over the next three days. This is the first college preliminaries and finals meet for our freshmen and they are excited to race in this environment,” commented Lykins. “The field will have six teams, and we expect tough races in every event.”
The Highlanders host UNC Asheville, Millersville, North Carolina A&T, Campbell and Mount St. Mary's in a three-day meet that begins at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday and concludes at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Thursday and Friday's time trials begin at 10:00 a.m. with the finals starting at 6:00 p.m. The meet concludes on Saturday with 9:00 a.m. trials and finals at 4:00 p.m.
