ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville baseball team was scheduled to begin its three-game Big South Conference series against Winthrop on Friday but that game has been postponed due to incoming inclement weather.
The Bulldogs and Eagles will try and play one game on Saturday and then a double-header on Sunday. Times have yet to be announced.
Asheville (8-16, 2-4 BSC) has won four of its last six games and won a league series at home last weekend against Gardner-Webb. Winthrop (12-14, 4-2 BSC) is playing well and has won road series at Gardner-Webb and Coastal Carolina. The Eagles also picked up a win at #13 North Carolina on Wednesday, 3-1.
