ATLANTA – The UNC Asheville track and field team ended the 2014 season with three of its student-athletes competing in the Georgia Tech Invitational recently.
Meredith Foster Ristic was in the high jump competition and placed 13th with a leap of 16.1 meters. She finishes her career as the school’s indoor and outdoor holder in this event.
Sophomore Kassie Pierre ran a time of 1:03.71 in the 400 hurdles. Earlier in the season, she posted a time of 1:01.70, setting a new school record by more than two seconds.
On the men’s side, Kurt Hibert competed in both the discus and hammer throw but was unable to get a mark on the day. He finishes his career as the school’s all-time record holder in the hammer throw both indoor and outdoor.
