ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville women's tennis player Britney Cloer and assistant coach Tom Hand won three matches over the weekend to claim the mixed doubles open title at the City of Asheville Open held at Aston Park.

Cloer and Hand claimed the mixed doubles title on Sunday when they defeated the team of Jopling-Madduox, 6-3, 6-2.

Cloer also played in the open's singles match and won one match before falling to eventual champion Renata Marcinkowska in the quarterfinals.
