ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team is home twice this weekend as the Bulldogs host Charlotte today and Brevard College on Sunday at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown. Both matches start at 3 p.m. Admission is free.
The Bulldogs are 3-3 on the young season and are coming off a 5-2 victory over Augusta State University on Wednesday. Charlotte is unbeaten at 2-0 and knocked off Atlantic 10 foe Dayton last week, 4-0 on the road.
Freshman Christine Boissevain leads the Bulldogs this year as she has a 4-2 singles record so far. Sophomore Zoe Hamel has gone 3-3 at the #1 flight after six matches. Asheville has been slowed a little bit this season with an injury to senior Devon Cavanaugh. The Tallahassee native has managed to play doubles but only played in one singles match with a back injury.
