BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State won all three doubles matches and took six singles matches to down visiting UNC Asheville, 7-0 Wednesday afternoon at Yonahlossee Racquet Club.
The Bulldogs (4-8) top player Zoe Hamel took Ellie Linsell to three sets but fell, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 in singles action. At #4 flight, Christine Boissevain came close to winning but lost to Jessica Thaggard, 6-4, 6-4.
Asheville is back in action next Wednesday (March 14) at Western Carolina starting at 2 p.m.
