ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team had a very successful day on the first day of the Bulldog Invitational on Friday at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
The Bulldogs lost just one singles match and all of their doubles team advanced to the semifinals.
"We had a really good first day," commented UNC Asheville coach Lise Gregory. "We showed a lot of improvement from last year and just did a good job from top to bottom of our lineup."
Competition continues on Saturday and Sunday with Saturday's competition starting at 9 a.m.
Zoe Hamel and Emily McNall both advanced to the semifinals of A flight, while Amie Cloer, Jenna Dodge and Gillian Lewis advanced in the B flight.
