CLEMSON, S.C. - The UNC Asheville men's and women's track and field teams has some solid results on Saturday at the Tiger Paw Invitational at Clemson.


The meet at Clemson was the final one for both Bulldog teams before they head to Winston-Salem in two weeks for the Big South Conference championships (Feb. 21-23).


Sophomore Adrian Etheridge enjoyed a great race in the 3,000 meters. She finished in fifth place against a strong field as she posted a time of 10:24. Junior Melanie Kulesz came in 12th in the same event at 10:33.


In the 800 meters, freshman Alyssa Lashway placed 11th at 2:21. Sarah Gentry took 14th in the 400 meters at 58.80.


The 4x400 relay team of Anna Gelbach, Molly Harkavay, Alyssa Lashway and Kelsie Rubino finished with a time of 4:07.


On the men's side, Jeremy Gower placed 19th in the 800 meters at a time of 2:00.73. Patrick Osborne wasn't too far behind at 2:01.00


Kevin Paradise competed in the 3000 meters with a time of 9:02.


In the shot put, Kurt Hibert finished 19th against a deep and strong field and has a throw of 12.97 meters.
