GAFFNEY, S.C. - The UNC Asheville women's swim team picked up its second victory of the season on Saturday as the Bulldogs split a pair of dual matches at Limestone.

Asheville knocked off Lenoir-Rhyne, 75-46 before losing to Limestone, 81-41.

Galen Broido led the Bulldogs (2-4) with three victories in individual events. She won the 1000 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke and 400 Individual Medley. Alessandra Troncoso won both the 100 and 200 Breaststroke. Junior Liz Acker earned her first win of the season in the 200 Butterfly.

"I was happy with our swims today," stated Asheville coach Elizabeth Lykins. "We are broken down due to winter training but did a good job racing this afternoon."

"I look forward to our last week of winter training before classes resume," added Lykins. "This young team is continually learning."

The Bulldogs will race again on Jan. 19th when they compete at Georgia Southern starting at 1 p.m.
