ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville Athletics Department is proud to announce that for the first time in school history it will have a weekly TV show starting Saturday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. on WMYA-TV (Channel 40).


The half-hour show will be called UNC Asheville Bulldog Update and hosted by Associate Athletic Director Mike Gore. Each week two Asheville coaches or staff members will appear on the show to discuss what’s happening in Bulldog athletics.  The show will include highlights of Asheville sports, previews of upcoming games, events and recaps of past contests.


The first week of the show features interviews with men’s basketball coach Nick McDevitt and women’s basketball coach Brenda Mock Kirkpatrick.


UNC Asheville Bulldog Update will be taped in Kimmel Arena and produced by Tim Amos and Matt Pellegrin.


“We’re very excited about the opportunity to be on MY-40 each Saturday morning at 11 a.m.,” stated Gore. “This will be a tremendous opportunity to tell the story of Bulldog athletics to our current fans and make new fans.”


UNC Asheville Bulldog Update will also be to be seen on-line at after its Saturday showing.
