ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Bulldog Athletic Association Golf Classic is less than seven weeks away as plans for the two-day event continue.
The BAA Classic will be held August 26th and 27th, 2013 at the Country Club of Asheville. It will be presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, and is honoring former men's basketball coach Eddie Biedenbach for his 17 years of service to UNC Asheville and the community.
Some of the celebrities that will be playing in the event are Texas men’s basketball coach Rick Barnes, former Georgia Tech head basketball coach Bobby Cremins, former voice of the Tar Heels, Woody Durham and current UNC Wilmington head basketball coach and Asheville native, Buzz Peterson.
The annual tournament benefits scholarships for Bulldog student-athletes.
Monday, August 26th will be an Alumni Day for former student-athletes, coaches, managers and staff. There are three price options:
$250-Includes Monday's golf for one, two tickets to the Roast & Toast Honoring Eddie Biedenbach proudly sponsored by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians/Harrah's on Monday night, and hotel accommodations for Monday evening.
$200-Golf and two tickets to the Roast & Toast but no hotel.
$500-Golf Monday and Tuesday, two tickets to the Roast & Toast, and hotel accommodations Monday evening.
The Roast & Toast of Eddie Biedenbach is proudly sponsored by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians/Harrah's will be held Monday night at the Kimmel Arena in the Wilma Sherrill Center on the campus of UNC Asheville.
Tuesday, August 27th will see the return of the Celebrity Tournament, which is open to the public.

Tee Sponsor & One Player-$800 ($650 tax-deductible)

Golf begins both days at 11a.m.
