Every week the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) of UNC
Asheville will highlight a student-athlete who has achieved success
off the field, course or court. This week we are highlighting David
Parra, a rising senior on the men's soccer team.
This summer David will be an intern at two different locations. For
six weeks, he will be an intern as a social media marketer with Keller
Williams Asheville Holistic Realty. The later part of the summer,
David will be moving to San Diego where he will intern with First
Investors. This internship will teach him how to provide customers
with financial recommendations.
On top of his this busy schedule, David will also be assisting the
media staff at UNC Asheville with various projects.
David has been an active volunteer with Open Doors of Asheville and
Eliada Homes.
After graduating with a degree in business management (marketing
concentration) in the spring of 2013, David will seek employment at
Takasago International Cooperation in New Jersey. He will also
continue to pursue his dream of becoming a professional soccer player.
