The men's squad is anxious to improve on last year's disappointing campaign. The Bulldog harriers could never get totally untracked last season but believe 2011 should be different.
On the women's side, Asheville has steadily shown improvement over the past few years and hope that continues into 2011.
"We definitely believe we can be much better on the men's side," explained Norman. "We won't be very deep, but we have a good nucleus that if we can stay healthy, it will allow us to have a chance to improve a great deal.
"With the women, we have a good team coming back," stated Norman. "We have good depth and balance throughout our line-up."
The 2011 season begins at the Western Carolina Invitational on Sept. 2. The Big South Conference Meet will take place at Coastal Carolina on Oct. 29.
