ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men’s soccer team goes on the road Wednesday night to Big South Conference rival Gardner-Webb starting at 7 p.m.

Asheville (4-9-0, 1-4-0 BSC) looks for its second conference win of the season after losing a frustrating 1-0 decision to Campbell at home Saturday afternoon. Three of the Bulldogs conference losses have come by goals late in the second half or in overtime.


Gardner-Webb is 6-6-1 on the season and 3-3-0 in league play.


Asheville is led in scoring this season by senior Bobby Castro with three goals and seven points.  Emil Gonsalvez has three goals and all three of his goals have been game-winners.


Sophomore goalkeeper Dan Jackson has a shutout and a 1.75 goals against average this year.
