RADFORD, Va. – Big South-leading Radford scored three goals late in the first half en route to a 4-0 victory over visiting UNC Asheville Saturday night at Cupp Stadium.


The two-time defending Big South champs improved their record to 10-1-1 and 6-0 in league play. The Bulldogs fell to 5-8-1 and 1-4-1 in BSC matches.


Britney Kendall, Kara Wade and Julie Ruh’e scored in the first half for the Highlanders within a three-minute span of the first half to grab a 3-0 lead at intermission.


RU added a goal early in the second half to complete the scoring


Radford out-shot Asheville 18-7. Amanda Dailor had two shots for the Bulldogs. Heather Muller made six saves in the first half for the Bulldogs. Suzie Zigante made two saves in the second half.


UNC Asheville is back at home Wednesday afternoon against High Point at Greenwood Field starting at 3 p.m.
