SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Amanda Dailor scored early in the game and that was enough as UNC Asheville edged USC Upstate, 1-0 in women's soccer action Sunday afternoon.


The Bulldogs improved to 2-0-0 for the second straight season and earned their first road win of the season.


Senior goalkeeper Heather Muller made five saves to earn her first shutout of the year. She also started her 60th straight game for the Blue & White.


Asheville scored off a corner kick in the seventh minutes. Kaitlyn Eckert sent a cross into the goal area. Dailor was there to tap the ball into the back of the goal for a 1-0 lead at 7:11.


It was Dailor's second goal of the season. Eckert earned her third assist of the season.


UNC Asheville will host Wofford College at Greenwood Field this Friday at 3 p.m. Friday's contest will be broadcast by the Big South Network on
