Asheville’s Amanda Dailor nearly won the match for the Bulldogs early in the second overtime period. Her 20-yard blast hit the left goal-post with eight minutes remaining.

Brittany Aanderrud and Bouffard had six shots for the Flames. Maddie Boone added five for LU. Asheville had three players take three shots each. Kennedy Garrett, Shenny Lenhart and Dailor took the nine shots for the Blue & White.

Liberty goalkeeper Holly Van Noord made three saves for Liberty to earn the shutout.

UNC Asheville plays again at home this Saturday afternoon when the Bulldogs entertain Charleston Southern at Greenwood Field starting at 2 p.m. Liberty travels to Presbyterian College on Saturday for a 7 p.m. contest.
