PC goalkeeper Sarah Beth Anderson made 11 saves to keep Asheville off the scoreboard. It was the first win for the Blue Hose ever over the Bulldogs in three tries.
Junior midfielder Leilani Halkiotis led the Asheville offense with five shots on goal. Amanda Knapp, Erin Ryan, Dana Sroka and Emma Sell-Goodhand added three shots each.
The game was scoreless for much of the first half until Lauren Snyder scored her first goal of the year at 44:02 to give Presbyterian College a 1-0 lead.
The match stayed 1-0 for most of the second half as the Bulldogs peppered the Blue Hose goal. Anderson had four saves in the second stanza.
PC put the game away with two goals in the final 10 minutes. Rebecca Miller hit a shot from 20 yards out at 80:27 to push the lead to 2-0. Sara Simpson tallied at 86:31 on an 18-yard shot to make it 3-0.
The Bulldogs play again at Charleston Southern next Saturday (Oct. 16) at 11 a.m.
