GREENSBORO, N.C. - UNCG scored four goals in the first half and then three in the second en route to a 7-0 victory over the visiting UNC Asheville women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon at the UNCG Soccer Stadium.

"UNCG is coming off a win over #7 Wake Forest, and they had great confidence and momentum coming into today's game," said Asheville head coach Michelle Demko. "These are games that we want to play to become a better team and program. We will learn from this and move forward."

With the setback to the Spartans the Bulldogs dropped to 0-3 for the season, while UNCG improved to 2-1.

The Spartans registered 30 shots in the contest, posting 17 shots on goal. Asheville keeper Heather Muller had 10 saves in the contest.
