JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - The UNC Asheville indoor men's and women's track and field teams posted some impressive results on the first day of the Niswonger Invitational at East Tennessee State on Friday.


Sarah Gentry finished fourth in the 800 meters against a very strong field as she finished with a time of 2:14.13.


Junior Meredith Foster took fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.63 meters.


On the men's side, Milan Ristic qualified for two events on Saturday. He finished first in the 60-meter hurdles qualifiers with a time of 7.95. Ristic qualified sixth in the 200 meters at a time of 21.85.


Kurt Hibert earned a sixth-place finish in the weight throw at 15.96 meters.


A full day of events will begin on Saturday at 8 a.m. with the women's 5000 meters.
