ROANOKE, Va. – The UNC Asheville track and field program had three student-athletes perform in the Roanoke College-Virginia Tech qualifier Thursday night, and all three participants finished in first place.

 

Senior thrower Kurt Hibert took first in the hammer throw as he had a throw of 52.49 meters.

 

On the women’s side, Corey McClintock also took first in the hammer throw. Her top throw was 49.46 meters.

 

Finishing up Asheville’s first-place finishes was sophomore sprinter Kassie Pierre. She finished first in the 400 meter hurdles as she posted a time of 1:02.58.
