FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Junior sprinter Milan Ristic earned second team All-American honors by competing in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field championships at the University of Arkansas this weekend.

Ristic was one of just 16 sprinters to compete in the 60-meter hurdles on Friday. He finished in 13th overall as he posted a time of 7.80.

"Milan was seeded 14th and finished 13th and that's pretty good," stated Bulldog assistant track and field coach Joel Williams. "He ran against some great competition and posted a pretty good time considering the sprinters he was competing against. We're proud of Milan and he's only going to get better."

Ristic becomes the first UNC Asheville male track and field athlete to earn All-American honors.

The Bulldog track and field outdoor teams open the 2013 season at the 49er Invitational next weekend starting on Thursday, March 14.
