Emma Bussard and Sarah Gentry won races this weekend as the Bulldog track and field squads had several individual competing.


Bussard captured the 3000 meter steeplechase easily at the Duke Twilight on Sunday. She posted a time of 10:37.


On Saturday, Sarah Gentry won the 800 meters at the Bob Pollock Invitational at Clemson. She posted a school record time of 2:09.57.


Other highlights included Ashlei Clodfelter coming in second in the javelin at Clemson with a toss of 40.74 meters. She took fourth at Duke on Sunday with a toss of 40.00 meters.


Kurt Hibert set a new personal record in the hammer throw at Clemson with a throw of 56.53 meters. He then took seventh at Duke against some fierce competition as he had a throw of 53.63 meters. Hibert actually took second against just college competition on Sunday at Duke as the top five finishers threw for a club team or competed unattached.
