Simon Haake took first in the javelin on Saturday at Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. - Simon Haake and Natalie Pearson took first-place finishes at the Clemson Tiger qualifer Saturday afternoon.
Haake finished first in the javelin with a throw of 65.08 meters, while Pearson took first in the 200 meters with a time of 23.72. Both Haake and Pearson came in first against strong fields.
Pearson also competed in the 100 meters and took third with a time of 11.70.
