Natalie Pearson Qualifies for Nationals for Second Straight Year

BLOOMINGTON, IND. - UNC Asheville senior sprinter Natalie Pearson earned a spot in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in for the second straight year when she qualified in the 200 meters at the East Preliminary Round at the University of Indiana Saturday evening.
 
Pearson posted a time of 23.84 and finished 12th overall to qualify for the NCAA Championships at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa from June 8-12.
 
"Natalie ran a great race against incredible competition," stated Bulldog coach Jesse Norman. "She has worked so hard for this and it's nice to see the hard work pay off for her. We're looking forward to seeing her compete in Iowa in a few weeks."
