LEXINGTON, Ky. - The UNC Asheville men's and women's indoor track and field wills compete in the Rod McCravy Invitational at the University of Kentucky this weekend.
The Bulldogs put together some solid performances last weekend at the Niswonger Invitational at East Tennessee State and hope to build on that this weekend.
"We'll face an even stronger field at Kentucky than we did this past weekend," commented Asheville coach Jesse Norman. "This will be another good test for both teams. We had some great results last weekend, but we need to keep getting better with each meet."
Friday's action gets underway at 10 a.m. ET with the first men's heptathlon event. Field events will dominate much of the day until distance events get back on the track with the women's 5,000m starting at 8 p.m. ET.

Asheville will be competing this weekend alongside the No. 1 Clemson women's team, Missouri as well as Appalachian State, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Florida A&M, Georgia Tech, Kentucky State, Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Missouri, Missouri State, Ohio State, Southern Illinois, Western Carolina, Western Kentucky, Marshall, University of Miami (Ohio).
Junior sprinter Milan Ristic has won both times he's competed this year in the 60-Meter Hurdles. On the women's side, Sarah Gentry finished fourth last week in the 800 meters.
