ROCK HILL, S.C. – The UNC Asheville men’s and women’s track and field teams had one student-athlete each make the Big South All-Academic team on Monday as the league finished up its championship meet at Winthrop.
The meet was scheduled to end on Saturday but bad weather forced three events to finish up on Monday.
Senior Corey McClintock made the All-Academic team on the women’s side, while sophomore Skyler Winchester earned a spot on the men’s side. It was the first honor for each individual. McClintock took second on Thursday in the hammer throw.
