LYNCHBURG, Va. – Meredith Ristic took first in the high jump at the Liberty Twilight Invitational Thursday night at Liberty University.


The senior from Hendersonville won the event with a leap of 1.65 meters as she finished in first place in front of eight other jumpers.


On the men’s side, Kurt Hibert took third in the hammer throw with a throw of 55.00 meters. He also placed fifth in the discus at 45.62 meters.


Back on the women’s side, Corey McClintock finished third in the hammer throw at 48.83 meters.


Kassandra Pierre took sixth in the 400 hurdles as she posted a time of 1:02. 53.
