ASHEVILLE. N.C. – The UNC Asheville men’s tennis picked up its third straight win with a 6-1 victory over King University Friday afternoon at the Asheville Racquet Club.


The Bulldogs evened their record at 6-6 on the year with the victory. Asheville won all three doubles matches and then posted five singles victories, four in straight sets. John Schubel went three sets in his match against Leo Brigato but won a tie-breaker, 10-8.


The Blue & White play again when the Bulldogs are back in Big South Conference play when they travel to Coastal Carolina next Saturday (March 15) for a 10 a.m. match.
