ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men’s tennis team returns to action this Friday afternoon when the Bulldogs host Charlotte at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown at 2:30 p.m.

Asheville has not played since a 7-0 loss at Big South foe Coastal Carolina last Saturday. The score was deceptive as the Bulldogs lost two three-set matches and battled hard in doubles.

Asheville is 6-7 on the season and 1-1 in Big South matches. Charlotte has an 8-3 worksheet and is 1-0 in Conference USA.

In singles action, Josh Swindler has enjoyed a solid start to the year with an 8-4 record, playing mostly at #6 flight. Brett Landau is 7-4 in singles at both #3 and #4 flights.

Thomas Orestis-Panoulas and Swindler have led the way for Asheville in double action with an impressive 7-2 worksheet at #3 doubles.

The Bulldogs will be busy next week with four matches, three of those contests will be Big South Conference matches.
