CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston ended the UNC Asheville men's tennis team's winning streak at three as the powerful Cougars downed the Bulldogs, 7-0 Friday afternoon at the Cougar Tennis Complex.

Jonas Brobeck took Kyle Parker to three sets but fell in a tie-breaker, 10-8 in the third flight.

Asheville (9-7, 2-0 BSC)) faces a Big South Conference first-place showdown Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. when the Bulldogs travel to Coastal Carolina (10-3, 2-1 BSC)


No. 1 - Mickael Trintignac (CofC) def. Adrien Langeard (UNC Asheville), 6-4, 6-3.

No. 2 - Tom Delme (CofC) def. Matt Waissen (UNC Asheville), 6-4, 6-1.

No. 3 - Kyle Parker (CofC) def. Jonas Brobeck (UNC Asheville), 6-7, 6-2, 1-0 (8).

No. 4 - Crescente Lesser (CofC) def. Thomas Rees (UNC Asheville), 7-5, 6-2.

No. 5 - Stephen Hardy (CofC) def. John Schubel (UNC Asheville), 6-3, 6-1.

No. 6 - Alon Faiman (CofC) def. Ryan Matthews (UNC Asheville), 6-2, 6-4.
