ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team is back in action this afternoon when the Bulldogs host Gardner-Webb in a Big South Conference battle at the Asheville Racquet Club downtown starting at 1:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Asheville (9-7, 2-0 BSC) is unbeaten in Big South Conference play and hopes to remain that way against the Runnin' Bulldogs (5-11, 0-2 BSC).
The Bulldogs had a three-game winning streak snapped at Southern Conference power College of Charleston on Friday, 7-0. Asheville was scheduled to play at Coastal Carolina on Saturday but the match was postponed and will be played on April 14.
Asheville looks to build some momentum for this weekend as the Bulldogs are at Liberty on Friday and a first-place showdown with Radford (4-0 BSC) on Saturday.
UNC Asheville will be the host for this year's Big South Conference Championships from April 19-21 at both ARC locations. The winner of the championship will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
