GREENVILLE, N.C. - Conference USA power East Carolina won the doubles point and three singles matches en route to a 4-0 men's tennis victory over UNC Asheville Tuesday afternoon at the River Birch Tennis Center. The match was shortened due to rain in the Greenville area.


The Pirates won their seventh straight match to improve their record to 9-1. Asheville's two-game winning streak was snapped as the Bulldogs fell to 5-3.


Asheville opens Big South Conference this Friday at the Asheville Racquet Club when the Bulldogs host Liberty starting at 1 p.m.
