ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men’s tennis team begins a four-game homestand at the Asheville Racquet Club on Thursday when the Bulldogs host Big South rival Presbyterian College starting at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
Asheville (7-9, 1-2 BSC) looks to bounce back after a frustrating 5-2 loss at Liberty on Monday. The Bulldogs lost two three-set singles matches and a close doubles point to fall to 1-2 in league play.
Tom Hand’s club will have a stiff challenge on Thursday against the Blue Hose. PC is 21-5 overall and 4-1 in league action. The Blue Hose just knocked off South Carolina State and Appalachian State this past weekend.
All four matches are against Big South Conference foes as the Bulldogs jockey for position in the league race. Asheville entertains Campbell on Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by a match with Winthrop on Sunday (1 p.m.) and Gardner-Webb next Thursday (2 p.m.)
