ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women’s tennis team is in action this afternoon when the Bulldogs host North Carolina A&T at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown starting at Noon. Admission is free.
Asheville is off to its best start in more than 10 years and stands at 8-3 on the season. The Bulldogs are 2-0 in Big South Conference play.
Junior Emily McNall leads Asheville in singles with an 8-1 record. Sophomore Ericka Rivero is 8-2 in singles play.
The Bulldogs have been especially dominant in doubles play as Asheville has gone 27-4 in their matches this year.
Lise Gregory’s club will hit the road after today’s match. The Bulldogs travel to the coast of South Carolina this weekend for Big South Conference matches at Coastal Carolina on Saturday and Charleston Southern on Sunday.
