ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team is in action at home Sunday afternoon when the Bulldogs host Big South Conference power Winthrop at the Asheville Racquet Club downtown at 1 p.m. Admission is free.

Asheville (5-8, 0-1 BSC) picked up a big win on Wednesday when the Bulldogs rallied past Western Carolina, 4-3. The Blue & White lost the doubles point but got four wins at singles to down their mountain rival and picked up the victory.

The Bulldogs face the defending Big South Champion Eagles (5-9, 1-0 BSC) on Sunday.  Freshman Jenna Dodge is 7-4 in singles play on the year.

"Wednesday was a great win at Western Carolina as we gutted it out," commented Bulldog coach Lise Gregory. "We've got a tough match with Winthrop on Sunday but we'll battle the best we can."
