ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team returns to Crowne Plaza on Saturday as the Bulldogs will take on area foe Mars Hill College starting at Noon.

Saturday's match will be moved outdoors, and the time of the match has been shifted from 3 p.m. to Noon. In addition, Asheville will play at Brevard on Sunday at 3 p.m.

"We really like this nice weather we're getting and anytime you have a chance to play outside you need to do it," commented Bulldog coach Lise Gregory. "Saturday should be a beautiful day and we're looking forward to facing Mars Hill."

The Bulldogs have been short-handed all year and they'll be again on Saturday as junior Devon Cavanaugh will be sidelined with an injury. Asheville (2-3) is being led by senior Stephanie Schon who is unbeaten in singles this season at 5-0.

"Stephanie is doing a nice job for us in the first part of the season," added Gregory. "We hope she can keep it going. She's also done an excellent job being a leader for our program."

Schon's sister, Nicole, missed the first few matches of the year but has been playing doubles recently and could be back in the singles line-up this weekend.
