Devon Cavanaugh won in singles on Tuesday at Campbell

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Junior Devon Cavanaugh won her ninth singles match of the year but Campbell had too much for UNC Asheville as the Camels defeated the Bulldogs 6-1 in non-conference women's tennis action Tuesday afternoon at the Nisbet Tennis Center.

Cavanaugh won at #3 flight in two sets. She defeated Borislava Nikolova of Campbell, 7-5, 6-1. Asheville fresman Zoe Hamel had to retire after just three games due to an injury.

The Bulldogs play at ETSU Thursday afternoon and then play at defending Big South Conference champion Winthrop on Saturday starting at Noon.
