ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team posted a 5-2 victory over visiting Augusta State Wednesday at the Asheville Racquet Club.

 

The Bulldogs (4-2) captured the doubles points with three wins and then picked up four singles victories to earn the victory. Asheville is unbeaten at home this year at 4-0.

 

The Blue & White earned singles victories from Zoe Hamel at #1 flight, Emily McNall at #2, Ericka Rivero at #3 and Amryn Soldier at #5. All four victories came in straight sets.

 

Asheville was scheduled to open Big South Conference play on Saturday at Longwood. However, the match has been postponed and moved to March 13 in Farmville, Va. The Bulldogs play again on Friday, Feb. 22 at home against ETSU starting at 2 p.m.
