GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team won the doubles points and five singles matches  en route to a 6-1 non-conference victory over North Carolina A&T Thursday afternoon at the Aggie Tennis Center.


The only singles match the Bulldogs (9-7) lost was when Zoe Hamel defaulted at #6 due to an arm injury.


Asheville dominated the doubles matches. The Bulldogs three doubles team only lost two games in their three matches.


In singles play, Ericka Rivero played #1 in place of Hamel. She had a tough match with Kimberly Stallings but prevailed 7-5, 7-6 (10-8). Emily McNall, Christine Boissevain, Amryn Solider and Gillian Lewis all won in straight sets.


The Bulldogs are back in action on Friday morning when they travel to Campbell for a Big South Conference match that starts at 10 a.m.
